Honokowai is a beautiful beach and ocean area along Maui's western coast. It is located just a few minutes from the popular Ka'anapali Beach resort area where restaurants and bars abound. Snuggled between Kahana / Napili and Ka'anapali, Honokowai is a quiet lush tropical oasis, away from the usual noisy and busy touristy places. The small Kapalua West Maui Airport is also located nearby. Some hotels or condos are ocean front while other sit along gorgeous sandy beaches. For wildlife lovers, it is not uncommon for seals to beach themselves for a lazy afternoon in the sun and sea turtles to be seen swimming off shore. A Farmer's Market down the street provides fresh produce, daily sea catches, and even pre-prepared meals for those who want to really relax.
